The marble and granite business was launched as Shakti Industries and Granites in Jalore, Rajasthan, marking the inception of our first unit. Our key clients included Ajmera Builders, Lodha Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, and Asmita Groups of Builders, all located in Mumbai. In 1995, we began exporting internationally to South Africa, Uganda, and Kenya.
The following year, in 1996, we expanded our operations to Ahmedabad and later to Surat and Mumbai, while also adding articles and sculptures to our product offerings. We established a warehouse for marbles and granites, which we named “Ramkrishna Marbles.” In 2001, we started selling temple articles made from Dholpur stones and Makrana white marbles. By 2007, we had set up white marble mines in Ethiopia, Africa, and that same year, we acquired a warehouse and established an office at R.K. Freezone in Dubai.
During 2008-09, we supplied marble and granite to GMC Construction Limited in Mumbai, which was involved in the construction of the well-known One Mall in Ahmedabad, as well as to IIPHL and Lekawada in Gandhinagar. Additionally, we provided marbles and granites for Dr. Reddy’s construction projects, Shapoorji Pallonji Co. for the Nano project in Sanand, Gandhinagar, and PSP Construction for the GCS Medical College and Hospital in Ahmedabad.
